"Day"
These five drawings contemplate a day as a
symbol for the passage of time, be it a literal day, a season, or a
lifespan.
About
Us
The Pool is a group of artists
who are believers in Christ.
Our main purpose is to
encourage and edify other believers.
One of the ways that we do this is by using the various talents that God
has given us to share with you what we've learnt through scripture,
relationships, and experiences.
I (Heidi) had a vision
many years ago about a harvest. There's a scripture about the harvest
being ready, but the workers being few (Matthew 9:37). In my vision I
saw people cutting down the wheat, rolling it up, binding it with twine,
and carrying it on their shoulders. I thought, all of this . . . and
who's going to make it into bread?
That's part of why we're
here. To do our part in helping you grow as a believer, maybe to answer
some questions, to show you how we made it along the way, to share with
you some of our journey.
We want to hear from you
too. We'd love to know where you're coming from, what you care about,
how long you've known the Lord, what you're learning, questioning,
struggling with.
Also, you're welcome to
send us submissions: art, poetry, writings, music . . . whatever.
"The Pool" name comes from the idea that we can pool our
resources, pool our experiences and talents and glorify God, edify
believers, and invite each other to a deeper relationship with God.
