Think on These Things

            When God gave us this verse as the subject of our next project (which is a story in and of itself), I decided to do some research on what the Bible had to say about each of these things that Philippians told us to think about. 

            What I did was I looked up the word true (truth, truthfulness, truly....any conjugation of the word true).  I wrote down the references that were given and I proceeded to study them and see which applied, and which were just repeating something another verse had said.  Then I took notes on the information.   

            I did this for each word.  I also looked up the verse in the King James Version and compared the translations, studied the words that were different and included what I learned in my notes. (Most of the study was done in the NIV).

            Once I had a list of things the Bible says are true, lovely, pure, ect...  I began to sum it up for you (and for me).  I began to turn my list into somewhat cohesive paragraphs, typed them up into a rough essay format, and then revised. 

            That's how I came up with this list and with the explanation of what I learned.  I hope it helps you to see where I got it from, and how you can use your Bible and concordance similarly to search out God's truth.
