One Thing

I've written using "I" and "me" in here a lot.  That's because it's about me.  But it's also about you.  -Heidi

God has given me the anointing that Isaiah had.

But I'm not doing it.

When I prayed and asked, "How can I help them come to you?"

God gave me Ps 40: 1-3

"I waited patiently for the Lord,

He turned to me and heard my cry,

He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire.

He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand.

He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.

Most of this He's already done in me.

But He wants to put a new song in my mouth

a hymn of praise to Him.

I need to be in a position to receive.

So that He can put this new song in my mouth.

What is this position?

My heart cries for those my Lord loves.

My call and my resounding Yes is to do Isaiah 61.

To preach, to bind up, to proclaim freedom, to release prisoners of darkness, to proclaim His favor, to comfort, to bestow beauty, to give oil of gladness, and therefore to see them transformed.

I can't do this without God's power and presence.

And I must do this.  So I must have His power and presence.

I cannot go without a demonstration of the Spirit's power or I will go with only empty words. (I Cor 2:4)

Because Jesus said, "and these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well" (Mark 16: 15-18)

How do I get His power and presence?

Pray like Moses did, "If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and continue to find favor with you."

God answered, "My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest." (Ex 33:12)

Seek the Lord as in Hosea 10:12.

Sow for yourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of unfailing love.

(this is that unfailing love that Bob Heartly was talking about)(John 13:35)

and break up your unplowed ground, for it is time to seek the Lord.

For how long?

Until He comes.

and until He showers righteousness on you.

(righteousness, power, glory, fire, burning, this glory, this is what Jill Austen was talking about)

and until you have been clothed with power from on high. (Luke 24:49)

How do we seek Him?

In Lamentations, Jeremiah tells us to cry out to the Lord from our hearts

to let our tears flow like a river day and night

to give ourselves no rest

to arise, cry out in the night

as the watches of the night begin

to pour out our hearts like water

in the Presence of the Lord

to lift up our hands to Him for the lives of our children (His children)

who faint from hunger (physical, spiritual, emotional, social, financial.....)

at the head of every street.   (Lamentations 2:18-19)

See the parallel to Isaisah 62:6-7

I have posted watchmen on your walls oh Jerusalem;

they will never be silent day or night

You who call on the Lord, give yourselves no rest

until he establishes Jerusalem and makes her the praise of the earth.

Pray, Cry out to him, sow, break up that unplowed ground, seek the Lord, He will put a new song in your mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.

Many will see and fear and put their trust in Him.  (Ps 40: 3)

His Presence will go with you and He will give you rest. (Ex 33: 12)

There will be a demonstration of the Spirit's power that comes with you. (I Cor 2:4)(Acts 5:15-16)

This is the only way to do Isaiah 61.

Only with the presence and power of God.

We must cry out for it.

We must seek Him.

We must pray.

Remember the song   "Send your power, oh Lord our God........and for our inheritance Give Us The Lost!"

Prayer

Jesus,

You know my heart

You know the Spirit God has given me

The Spirit God has given you

The Spirit God had given to Isaiah too.

You know what makes me cry

Why my tears well up inside

The hurt, Lord, and the fearful pride

I want them to be free

I want them to be in love

in Love

in love with you.

So many need the Father

So many need your Love,

your counsel, and your peace.

If only I could place it in their hands.

But God, I must be patient like you are,

waiting "Won't you love my Son"

I know it pains your heart

to see them bleeding

feeling so left out.

God, if there's anything,

any way to make the change

to help someone blind to finally see

"There's nothing but my God for me"

You are the answer to their every need

the Lover of their soul.

You will fill them up security

and hope forevermore.

My God, help me to love in truth,

to do the things you ask me to.

Help me, Counselor, to know

to grow the way I need to grow

Give me words, you long to say

I have voice, I long to pray

Jesus help me to remember

Father help me to surrender

Spirit in me reign in power

You are King my Lord forever.

ok.  this is about coming to him, fasting, seeking him, prophecy, and His glory.

Isaiah 55

Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;

and you who have no money, come, buy and eat!

Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost.

Why spend money on what is not bread,

and your labor on what does not satisfy?

Fasting:  is when you don't eat food, instead you seek God because He is the read food and drink that can really satisfy you.  The physical food and drink that we normally have is merely a shadow of the real thing.  When we are free of our bodies, in heaven, we will be satisfied, strengthened, and sustained with Him and only Him.  Fasting is something we do now when we realize how much we need Him and how much we need our hunger satisfied by Him, our spiritual food, and not by physical food.

Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good,

and your soul will delight in the richest of fare.

Give ear and come to me;

hear me, that your soul may live.

I will make an everlasting covenant with you,

my faithful love promised to David.

See, I have made him a witness to the peoples,

a leader and commander of the peoples.

Surely you will summon nations you know not,

and nations that you do not know will hasten to you,

because of the Lord you God,

the Holy One of Israel,

for he has endowed you with splendor.

Nations:  some people are anointed for the nations.  Like David.  I don't understand this yet, but they will come to Him when He endows His people with splendor.

Splendor:  His glory.  We should cry out for this splendor.

Seek the Lord while he may be found;

call on him while he is near.

Seek Him:  Like Hosea 10:12 it is time to seek the Lord.  Seek Him for that splendor of His glory, Seek Him for the power, and presence of the Holy Spirit, Seek Him.

Let the wicked forsake his way

and the evil man his thoughts.

Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him,

and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts,

neither are your ways my ways," declares the Lord.

As the heavens are higher than the earth,

so are my ways higher than your ways

and my thoughts than your thoughts.

As the rain and snow come down from heaven,

and do not return to it without watering the earth

and making it bud and flourish,

so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,

so is my word that goes out from my mouth:

It will not return to me empty,

but will accomplish what I desire

and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Prophecy:  is when God sends His words to you and out of your mouth says what He wants to say, and it accomplishes what He wants it to accomplish.  Pray that you may receive Prophecy.

You will go out in joy

and be led forth in peace;

the mountains and the hills will burst into song before you,

and all the trees of the field will clap their hands.

Instead of the thornbush will grow the pine tree,

and instead of briers the myrtle will grow.

This will be for the Lord's renown,

for an everlasting sign,

which will not be destroyed.

Glory:  this is the glory of God, this is what it does to the land, the people, the land and the trees mentioned here are representing the people.  See Isaiah 61: 3-  They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.  There is again.  His splendor.  His glory.  See Ezekiel 47: 1-12.  It talks about the fruit trees that bear fruit because the water of the sanctuary flows to them.  Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.

Matthew 4

He tempted You to turn stones into bread.

He tempted me to turn stones into bread.

To find favor; to find flavor in something else

untrue.

He tempted me to eat my fill;

to command to my attention

direct in contradiction;

to find un-nourishment in false bread

not the true.

He tempted me to try my hand

at making idols from the land;

to taste with falsity

delicious though forbidden delicacy.

Yet I refuse.
