Life on the Fringe

by Steve Llewellyn

“Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
“The birds have their nests, the foxes have their holes, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.”
“The path is narrow that leads to life, and few find it.”
“He was looking forward to the city with foundations, whose architect and builder is God.”

Truly seeking God's will and way will put you at odds with many people.  Often you'll be treated like some sort of outcast or freak; sometimes, though, you'll be treated like one of the crowd, one of the group... but you'll know you're different.  You'll realize you have a different goal in mind.  You'll often have to move from one place to another.  But the good side is, God will use you and teach you wherever he puts you.  He'll encourage you along the way, and show you things no one else gets to see.

It can be lonely at times, and sometimes disheartening to see people not "getting it."  But to be in God's will and his true reality, moving toward the One who matters... well, that's certainly worth it.
