| space | In the Flow Contemplations on Life in the Spirit, by Steve Llewellyn One must flow with the Lord, with the Spirit. Many things, opportunities, possibilities seem available; but when one steps out of His flow, things can twist, tumble, and cease to make sense. If I were to pursue my desires, I might be able to enact changes in the world around me. However, when I move in the Spirit, I have a confidence and a blessing that I wouldn't on my own. I can envision my own plans, but I do not know the end result. Except, "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." [Proverbs 14:12] When I choose the Lord's way, neither then do I know the outcome. Except that it will be good. [See Romans 8:28] And all along the way, His unseen hand will go before me, straightening details, arranging things for me. It's funny, I suppose, that He doesn't take more difficulty out... I wonder - How do I know when the snags are my fault? But then, there's my answer: With my will, my mistakes lead to my destruction, and become reinforced. With His will, my mistakes are turned to lessons that change me and lead to LIFE! | space |
