How do I
know?

If
I believe I'm headed the right way today, but the way that I'm headed is
wrong,
I'm believing a lie . . . but how do I know?
If I believe all the words that I speak are the truth but in truth what
I'm saying is wrong,
I'm believing a lie . . . but how do I know?
If I believe that my life is all it can be but there's life beyond all
that I see,
I'm believing a lie . . . but how do I know?
If only the way had a voice and could speak, it could tell me which way I
should go,
But how do I know . . . if the way cannot speak?
If only the truth had a voice I could hear, it could give me the words I
should say,
But how do I know . . . if the truth I can't hear?
If only my life had command of my thoughts, it could tell me just how I
should live,
But how do I know . . . if life has no words?
Perhaps if the words became flesh and could speak, then the way and the
truth could be known.
No more following lies . . . If the words came to life!
Then the spirit of truth could speak to my soul so the words would be more
than my own
No more speaking the lies . . . if the truth could just speak!
And then if I walked in this spirit of truth I would know I have found a
good life
No more living the lie!. . . and life would be good!
Suppose that all this has already been done and the path before us is lit,
Now we can know . . . because now we can see!
And suppose in that light, a voice speaks to our
soul with the truth of what we should say,
Now we can know . . . because now we can hear!
And what if the light is the life that we
seek and is given to all who believe,
Now we can know . . . because now we believe!
Well the stories are true, the plan is complete all because of a death on
a cross.
His name is Jesus, His Father is God, His mission ? restoring the lost.
So He suffered and died, was for us crucified, and
forgave us for all of our sins.
But end, it did not, for He rose from the dead with a shout:
Death, where is your sting!
Yes, all things, in Him, consist for our good, His purpose is one of
great love.
And with passion beyond all that we ever know, He pleases the Father
above.
A helper, He sends, with incredible power to heal and to set captives
free;
A Spirit as holy as God and His Son draws us in to the great Trinity
"I am the Way and the Truth and the Life" are the words of
our Lord Jesus Christ.
And because He has risen, His words still apply. He's
offering all a new life!
So the Way has a voice, and the Truth we can hear, and the Life is a
light that shines clear.
So how do I know? Because he says so! Whenever I pray, He is near.

No one comes to the Father except through me".
