Submissions
We’re glad you’re interested in sharing with us and with your fellow
guests here at ForThoseWhoThirst.com. Here are a few things to consider
before you submit anything to us:
-The
primary motivation to share something on this site should be to edify the
Body of Christ. We’re looking for submissions that will encourage, cause
people to think, to reflect, and generally draw people closer to God.
-Whatever
you submit and we choose to display is going to be posted on the Internet.
This means anyone can have access to it. We will include a line giving you
credit for your work, and state the submission is copyright (the author), or
something similar to that, but ultimately, we have no control over how
someone else might use your submission. We assume no liability for what
might happen to your work after you submit it to us. (Yes, that sounds a bit
foreboding, but we do want you to think of it ahead of time.)
-Things that help: Congruence with the Scriptures; avoiding
material such as nudity, and terminology generally held as crude or
offensive. You know, that kind of stuff. Use good judgment.
-Remember
that submitting something doesn’t necessarily guarantee that we’ll
display it. For any of a number of reasons, we may choose not to put it on
the site, or may not be able to. Remember also that if we don’t display
your submission, it doesn’t automatically mean we don’t like it. Don’t
get discouraged!
-We may take it upon ourselves to do some editing if we deem it
necessary. We will only edit such things as spelling and grammar, not
content. If you take issue with any of our editing, don’t let it worry
you. Just email us; we’ll see what we can do.
Here are the other things we need from you if you choose to
submit something to us:
-Your name
-Your email address
-A little background
information or explanation concerning the essay or piece you are
submitting.
-If you are submitting a
picture of some kind, please keep the file size relatively small. Realize also that
we may have to reduce it further in order to make it Web-ready. This
could affect picture quality.
By submitting something to us, you are automatically giving us
permission to post it on our website. We take only electronic
